About the Award

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Southeastern Library Program Award sponsored by the Southeastern Library Association (SELA). The purpose of this award is to recognize an outstanding program of service in one academic/special library AND one public/school library in any SELA state from the 2025-2026 biennium.

Criteria

  • An academic/special library and a public/school library in the member states of SELA may be nominated for an outstanding program of service. Programs of service may include, but are not limited to, library activities, projects, or special programs.
  • The programs of service must take place during the biennium in which the nomination is made (January 2025 - October 2026).
  • The minimum time span for a nominated library program must not be less than three months, including the development and evaluation stages of the program.
  • The person making the nomination must be an active member of SELA.
