Call for Reviewers

The SELn Editorial Board solicits members to serve as volunteer reviewers. Article and book reviewer volunteers should complete The Southeastern Librarian reviewer volunteer form (requires authentication through Google). Volunteers will be asked to upload a CV within the form.

Article Reviewers:

The SELn seeks representatives who are qualified to evaluate the content of articles so that the articles are "peer reviewed" by those with subject knowledge as well as by those with a knowledge in research methodology. As such, we are seeking individuals from all types of libraries representing a broad range of responsibilities.

Volunteer reviewers will be asked to review articles inside and outside their area of subject expertise.

General criteria for article reviewers:

  • Must be a member of SELA
  • Minimum of 2 years professional experience
  • Minimum of 2 published peer-reviewed publications or equivalent experience

Book Reviewers:

The SELn reviews books with a connection to the Southern USA, either by content or the author’s association with the south, and those related to libraries and librarianship.

General criteria for book reviewers:

  • Must be a current member of SELA
  • Minimum of 2 years professional experience
